WINDSORIAN
CHRISTMAS TALES*
This entirely new and
original initiative, launched in 2007 by Hugh Burn as part of his
Windsor Tours, is meant to celebrate Christmas and give
a festive slant to a 1 hour walk through Windsor by mentions of
Christmas traditions, including the story of the first Christmas
tree at Windsor Castle. The tour will finish with a glass of mulled wine
at a reputable local venue.
This tour will operate every Friday,
Saturday and Sunday from the 15th November 2008 to the 21st December
2008 and will depart at 5 pm from the Tourist Information Centre,
Royal Shopping Arcade, Windsor.
Tickets will be available from the Tourist
Information Centre (Tel. 01753 743900) in advance and on
the day at the following rates: £6.00 / person; £4.50 /
concessions (OAPs; advantage card holders, under 14s) -
exclusive of mulled wine which can be purchased at the venue.
Private Windsorian Christmas Tales tours are available on request
until Christmas day and a special group booking rate of £70.00 applies.
