 HOW TO BOOK

I accept bookings and enquiries via Tel +44(0)7986621285, Fax +44(0)1753850928, or via the form provided on the Contact page. Early bookings are advised in order to avoid disappointment in case your I am not available on your requested date.

The Windsorian Christmas Tales tour can be booked in advance and on the day by ringing the Windsor Tourist Information Centre on 01753 743900. Details for private tours are available on Tel 07986621285 or by filling in the Contact form.

The Blue Badge

Wherever possible I will attempt to accommodate your bookings on your desired date and time. However, should I not be able to do this for a variety of reasons, I will do my best to recommend another qualified Blue Badge Guide who is available to take your tour.

Similarly, should your party require the services of more than one guide, I will endeavour to provide you with the correct number of Blue Badge qualified guides needed.

 FEES

The prices below apply to private tours and are a guide only. They can be negotiated when making your booking:

  • 1 - 2 hour tours: from £70.00

  • 3 - 4 hour tours: from £90.00

  • full day tours: from £150.00

  • Windsorian Christmas Tales - this tour can be booked at the special rate of £60.00

The fees do not include the optional Traditional Cream Tea or Mulled Wine. These are to be paid separately by yourselves at the venue. However, as part of the tour package you will be given a discount at the respective venues for having taken a Hugh Burn tour.

Cancellations should be notified in writing and where possible with more than 7 days notice prior to the tour. For cancellation charges and details please see our Terms and Conditions.

 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Hugh Burn at Warwick Castle

While I cannot process Debit or Credit Card payments, cash on the day of the tour or a cheque payable to Hugh Burn are preferred.  All the tours will be invoiced unless otherwise agreed and invoices are to be paid within 30 days of issue. After this a reminder invoice will be sent out, payable within 7 days or else legal representation will be taken into account.  

No deposit is necessary to secure a booking. However, cancellations must be notified in writing by emailing Hugh Burn.  My cancellation fees, as advised by the Guild of Registered Tourist Guides are:  

  • 7 days notice or less -  50% of booked fee;

  • 48 hours notice or less -  full booked fee as negotiated.

  • where cancellations follow a last minute booking we reserve the right to charge 25% of the booked fee.

Should cancellations be made by me for reasons beyond my control, such as: sudden illness, epidemic or health risk, fire, flood, terrorist activity, political unrest and similar others I will attempt to offer you an alternative tour or tour date or to find you another guide to undertake the tour depending on the situation and reasons for cancellation.

Obtaining the proper visas, insurance and travel documents are your sole responsibility and I accept no liability in respect thereof. I cannot offer assistance or advice with obtaining these.

You and Hugh Burn agree that these Terms and Conditions bound you to a contract which is subject to English Law and the Courts of Justice of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any disputes or differences arising between the parties.
